ABOUT

Tess Druckenmiller is a Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter. A native New Yorker, Tess was inspired by the world around her growing up and picked up the piano and guitar at a young age. She began composing music in her early teens and recorded her first original songs while in high school. Tess released her most recent EP, "Blindsided," in July 2023, produced by Jesse Bielenberg and Rahm Silverglade, and is currently working on a new project (release date TBA). Tess’s sound has been influenced by the incredible musicians and producers she has worked with in the studio and draws on elements of many genres, most notably indie pop, folk, and country. Tess released her debut album "Storyteller" in 2013 (produced by Tony Prendatt-Carter and Peter Calo), followed by EP “Carousel” in 2016 (produced by Troy Chryssos). She later released two projects, “Castles” (2017) and “Younger” (2019), under the pseudonym Direcat. Tess graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Brown University with a degree in Math and Computer Science. Tess currently resides in Brooklyn with her two squish-faced cats.
